PADI Divemaster / Captain / Ecologist

My family affectionately calls me a “fish.” I’ve always had a deep connection with the water, having grown up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. One of my fondest memories is my mum taking me to the Vancouver Aquarium numerous times each summer, where my fascination with the underwater world, particularly the Giant Pacific Octopus, took root.

In 2014, during my travels in Central America, I made a spontaneous decision to venture to Utila, Honduras, to experience scuba diving. Originally planning just a five-day stint to complete my open water certification, I found myself captivated, extending my stay to two weeks to also obtain my advanced certification. I became obsessed with being able to breathe underwater and be a part of the underwater world instead of just an outside observer.

Upon returning to Vancouver, I continued my diving education and enrolled in university to study ecological restoration. My ultimate goal was to forge a career dedicated to the restoration of our precious marine ecosystems.

I graduated from university in 2021 and finished my Divemaster certification in 2023. I love guiding private dives and showing visitors the beautiful creatures that inhabit our waters. I am currently working for an environmental non-profit organization where we focus on protecting and restoring kelp forest ecosystems in BC and Chile. The ocean has become my entire world, and it’s safe to say, I am living my dream.

Looking ahead, I aspire to become a certified scientific diver, blending my passion and hobby with my career.
